BOTOX® COSMETIC is an FDA approved prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve, soften, and even eliminate facial wrinkles in areas such as the forehead and crow's feet lines around the eyes .and frown lines between the eyebrows. BOTOX® is a safe non-invasive procedure and is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures performed in the United States.
There are four forms of JUVÉDERM: JUVÉDERM Ultra , JUVÉDERM, Ultra Plus, JUVÉDERM Ultra XC and JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus XC. .
They are all FDA approved hyaluronic acid injectable fillers that replace lost volume and restore youthful contours to the skin by smoothing facial wrinkles and folds. The XC formulations of both products have added lidocaine, an anesthetic to make the injection more comfortable.
The difference between Ultra and Ultra Plus is that the Ultra Plus is a more robust formulation that is indicated for deeper and more severe facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds, whereas the Ultra, a finer molecule, does very well in enhancement of the lips or filling fine wrinkles.
While patients should expect correction to persist at least 9-12 months, this can vary from patient to patient.
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC injectable gel is the first and only FDA-approved filler to correct age-related volume loss in the midface. With optimal treatment, natural-looking results can last up to 2 years. Common areas include the cheeks, cheekbones, and chin. Additionally, due to its versatility it is also suitable for adding definition to the jaw line.
Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method for permanent hair removal. During this procedure a very fine needle is inserted into the natural opening of the hair follicle alongside the hair shaft. A small amount of electricity is gently applied to the base of the hair follicle destroying the hair growth cells and permanently eliminating the regenerative ability of the hair follicle.
Although electrolysis has become less popular due to the introduction of laser hair removal, it is still ideal for those who have hair that cannot be targeted by laser, namely gray, white, blonde or red hair. The two methods are often used in conjunction with each other to provide optimal results. The number of treatments depends on the cause of hair growth, the amount of hair in the area being treated, and the coarseness and texture of the hair.
Remember, it's important that your electrolysis is done by a licensed professional. Suzy Forbes, our hair removal expert, is a state and nationally-certified clinical and medical electrologist and has been doing electrolysis since 1997.

Are you a candidate for a laser facial treatment? The answer is "Yes" if your skin shows evidence of chronic exposure to the sun's ultraviolet light. Physicians call the condition "photodamage," and the most obvious signs are coarsening of skin texture, wrinkling, irregular pigmentation, and enlarged blood vessels and pores. Laser Facial treatments use the latest laser technology to improve sun damage, stimulate underlying collagen, remove enlarged blood vessels, and even out irregular pigmentation
Hair removal made easier. Shaving, plucking, tweezing, waxing—all are temporary fixes for unwanted hair. With our laser hair removal treatments, you can quickly and easily reduce unwanted hair on your body or face with longer lasting results.
The secret lies in the technology. Cynosure’s laser hair removal treatments target and destroy the hair cells responsible for hair growth without damaging the surrounding skin. The result is smooth, hair-free skin that lasts!
Microdermabrasion treatments use a minimally abrasive instrument to gently sand your skin, removing the thicker, uneven outer layer. This type of skin rejuvenation is used to treat light scarring, discoloration and sun damage.
Microdermabrasion works on all skin types and colors. It makes subtle changes, causing no skin color change or scarring. It is not effective for deeper problems such as scars, wrinkles, or deep acne scars.
Skin is temporarily pink but fully recovers within 24 hours. It doesn't require surgery or anesthetics. That may help people who cannot take "down time" for healing.
Automated Micro-Needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a relatively new concept aimed at stimulating the body’s own collagen and elastin production to tighten, lift and rejuvenate the skin. The treatment is also effective in reducing and/or improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, pore size, stretch marks, hyper and hypo pigmentation and scarring such as surgical and acne scars. During this procedure, the Eclipse MicroPen creates a series of predictable, controlled epidermal and dermal micro-injuries, thereby stimulating the body's immune response to produce new collagen and elastin.
Furthermore, automated Micro-Needling also creates superficial micro-channels which enhance the penetration of topical active ingredients. For instance, Hyaluronic Acid, peptides or collagen serum, can be used to hydrate and re-epithelialize the skin. Depending on what skin condition is being targeted, your medical skin care professional may also infuse anti-redness or anti-acne serums, lightening agents, and/or active growth factors to the needed depth. Needle depth can be adjusted precisely to ensure safe levels of dermal penetration. The skin’s repair process in conjunction with the infused active ingredients result in improvement of the overall appearance of the skin: softer wrinkles, and a thicker, healthier, more youthful and more luminous dermis.
